In the ever-evolving world of real estate, staying ahead of the curve means constantly expanding your skillset and network. One often-overlooked secret weapon? Cohorts. I am excited to announce that I was selected to participate in the Developer Cohort for the Center for Community Progress Atlanta.
This diverse group is composed of innovative, experienced developers with different models and products who are passionate about developing communities in metro Atlanta, sharing expertise, and seeking to scale. Together, we can increase production and create more inclusive housing opportunities for our region.
We’ve had two brain-stirring meetings so far and my mind is buzzing with creative options. Connecting with a dynamic, brilliant group of professionals across metro Atlanta was powerful. The energy was electric, with minds from all corners of the industry coming together to problem-solve, share insights, and push boundaries.
What makes developer cohorts so unique? It’s the collective brainpower. Imagine having a direct line to experts in everything from construction to market trends, all focused on mutual growth. It’s like having a custom-built board of advisors at your fingertips.
But the benefits will continue beyond there. Cohorts are a hotbed of opportunity. Collaborations are born, partnerships forged, and deals discovered in these fertile environments. It’s the perfect space to find that next project or investment to take your portfolio to the next level and maybe even partner on a larger project.
So how can you tap into this potential? I told you, my readers, earlier this year that I was focusing on developing at scale. I have put this information out into the universe and sought out networks that align with that goal. I came prepared to also add value and share my experience. I also have three communities under development now.
So, seek out cohorts that align with your goals and be ready to contribute. These groups thrive on shared knowledge, so come prepared to give as much as you gain. Be open-minded, always look for ways to add value, and don’t be afraid to think outside the box. I have been enlightened by some of the models I learned in these convenings.
