I’m thrilled to share a deeply meaningful milestone in my journey of service and community building. This fall, I joined the illustrious sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, through the historic Kappa Omega Chapter – the oldest chapter in Georgia. I’m so proud and honored to be a member of the Kappa Omega Chapter, and the joy I feel as a new member is beyond words.
Being inducted alongside 31 remarkable line sisters into a chapter with such profound historical significance has filled me with both humility and inspiration. What makes Kappa Omega particularly special is its direct connection to our sorority’s founding – one of its founders was an original founding member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Joining this sisterhood with such a rich history and tradition of being the initiators, the achievers, first in all things in ‘service to all mankind’ fully embodies who I am, how I live, and the work that I do improving lives and transforming communities. Throughout my career in real estate and community development, I’ve championed the philosophy of lifting others while we climb. This commitment to service aligns perfectly with AKA’s mission and values.
Through the Ivy Community Center and beyond, I look forward to expanding my impact as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. This new chapter represents more than just wearing our beloved pink and green – it’s about continuing a legacy of firsts and being part of a transformative force in our communities.
To my new sisters, thank you for welcoming me into this extraordinary sisterhood. To my friends, family, and community members, I’m energized by the opportunities ahead to serve alongside such accomplished women who share my passion for making a difference.
