I just celebrated my FIRST Founders’ Day as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®!!! Eeeek! ‘Pinch me’ I’m thrilled to share a deeply meaningful milestone in my journey of service, sisterhood and community building. This fall, I joined the illustrious sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, through the historic Kappa Omega Chapter – the oldest chapter in Georgia. I’m so proud and honored to be a member of the Kappa Omega Chapter, and the joy I feel as a new member is beyond words.
Being inducted alongside 30 remarkable line sisters into a chapter with such profound historical significance has filled me with both humility and inspiration. What makes Kappa Omega particularly special is its direct connection to our sorority’s founding – one of Kappa Omega’s founders was an original founding member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. What a legacy!
Joining this sisterhood with such a rich history and tradition of being the initiators, the achievers, first in all things in ‘service to all mankind’ fully embodies who I am, how I live, and the work that I do improving lives and transforming communities. Throughout my career in real estate and community development, I’ve championed the philosophy of ‘Improving Lives, Transforming Communities.” (our company’s motto.). This commitment to service aligns perfectly with Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission and values.
I look forward to expanding my impact as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service®. This new chapter represents more than just wearing our beloved pink and green – it’s about continuing a legacy of firsts and being part of a transformative force uplifting our communities.
